C.1860-1880. A finely made mid-Victorian Etruscan revival gold hair barrette. It is oval-shaped, and ornate with the beautiful granulation details in gold. The barrette is English and solid 15k yellow gold. The shape is slightly curved for comfortable fit, and the barrette stays put in hair with the working closure in the back.  Overall it is in great condition.
